Additional features include the ability to associate images—either captured in real-time or selected from the device’s photo library—with geographic points. Users can store an extensive number of individual points or circular zones with specified radii. An "automatic recording" mode enables perimeter-based site documentation by walking around the boundary, facilitating real-time mapping of sites.

The application enables drawing various geospatial objects across multiple map layers parallels traditional CAD/GIS workflows seen on desktop systems. All recorded data—points, descriptions, measurements, images—can be saved within "FingerGIS" archives or shared seamlessly with other installed apps or cloud services like Dropbox.

Export options include standard formats such as .csv files, native formats compatible with "FingerCAD" for overlaying GIS data onto CAD projects, "pathRecorder" files for navigation purposes, and zipped email attachments compiling all relevant data—geopoints, images, descriptions.

Integration with third-party storage and sharing systems is supported via Dropbox, "Open In" functionality, iTunes File Sharing, email attachments, and compatibility with "FingerCAD" (HD, WS, PRO versions) and "pathRecorder" applications through the "Open In" feature.

When used adjunctly with "FingerCAD," users can export recorded sites as .DXF (compatible with CAD software) or .OBJ (for 3D models), as well as generate PDFs for documentation purposes.
